
Global Product Manager - Simpson

As a Global Product Manager, you will be responsible for reviewing requests for quotation (RFQ) for clarification and definition, designing concepts to meet customer needs, and developing and implementing customer specifications. Professional experience and background:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Industrial Management, or related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
3-5 years of experience in pricing, product management, aftermarket, or service-related roles in an industrial or capital equipment environment.
Strong analytical and commercial acumen with experience in Excel, Power BI, ERP (e.g., SAP/Oracle), and CRM systems.
Proven track record in developing pricing strategies and launching aftermarket or spare parts products.
Knowledge of foundry, metal casting, or surface preparation industries is a strong advantage.
Excellent project management and communication skills; ability to influence cross-functional teams.
Required Experience: Relevant experience in foundry sand production and foundry operations.
Responsibilities
- Product Vision & Strategy: Translate business strategy into a compelling product vision, defining what the product should be and where it will go in the global market.
- Market & Customer Understanding: Conduct extensive customer and market research to identify needs, gaps, and opportunities in different regions.
- Product Roadmap Management: Create and manage the long-term product roadmap, prioritizing features and initiatives based on strategic goals, market feedback, and performance metrics.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with various teams, including engineering, marketing, sales, and design, to guide the product's development and execution.
- Go-To-Market Strategy (GTM): Develop and execute global GTM strategies, including launch plans, pricing, and promotional activities, tailored for different international markets.
- Product Performance: Monitor product profitability and commercial success, tracking key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure success and inform future iterations.
Specific tasks:
- Analyze & Prioritize: Analyze market research, competitive landscapes, and data to make informed decisions about product features and requirements.
- Develop Requirements: Define clear product requirements, including user stories and specifications, for engineering and design teams.
- Manage Product Lifecycle: Oversee the entire lifecycle of the product.
- Manage Stakeholders: Align internal and external stakeholders on product vision, strategy, and execution plans.
- Drive Product Success: Drive the commercial success of the product by ensuring it meets customer needs, stays competitive, and achieves business goals.
- Localization & Adaptation: Ensure the product is appropriately localized and tailored to meet the specific requirements and nuances of various global markets.
